Inshore fishing charters are in the backwaters surrounding the historical Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island area. On these guided fishing trips, you are usually fishing in two to three foot of calm water for redfish and spotted sea trout. Sight fishing for red fish is one of the most thrilling experiences a fisherman can enjoy. You can also catch a variety of other fish such as tarpon, flounder, sheepshead, black drum and sharks in these same waters.
Capt. Scott’s roomy 21 ft Shoalwater Catamaran has an 8’ 4” beam and drafts only 8 inches of water. Skinny water is no problem with this boat as it will run in as little as 5” of water. This allows you to fish a lot of water other boats cannot get to.
We supply all rods, reels, tackle, bait, ice, and fishing license for backwater fishing trips. You are welcome to bring your own rods, reels or favorite fishing tackle if you prefer. Inshore backwater charter fishing trips can accommodate up to four guests.
